Atlantic Packaging Academic Scholarship

Atlantic Packaging (AP) is proud to be your employer and values the effort put forward by every employee and the tremendous support of your families. In an effort to give back to the extended AP community, an academic scholarship program has been created to nurture the next generation of thought leaders and ensure a successful start to their careers. Atlantic Packaging will pay up to $3500 per school year to a maximum of four years to the selected scholarship recipient to be used towards the cost of tuition.

Program Eligibility

The AP scholarship program is open to the children (son/daughter) of full-time AP employees in good standing with at least 2 years of service who meet the following criteria:

  • Full-time students completing Grade 12/Secondaire 5 & transitioning to college or university the following academic year with an overall grade average of at least 75% in the final two years of school.
  • Students completing Grade 12/Secondaire 5 and seeking admission in a Canadian University or Ontario/Quebec community college.
  • Actively attending a registered Canadian university or Ontario (CAAT)/Québec community college with full time coursework and an overall grade of at least 75%
  • Under the age of 25 at the commencement of the academic year

Program Details:

The Atlantic Packaging Board of Directors will award 10 scholarships of up to $3500.00 per year to be used towards the cost of tuition. Recipients may be awarded the scholarship for a maximum of 4 years as long as they maintain an average grade of at least 75% and/or the equivalent GPA. A new application will need to be submitted each year in order to demonstrate that the recipient continues to meet the eligibility criteria. The Board of Directors will review all applications and select the successful recipients. Scholarships will be awarded at the sole and unfettered discretion of the Board. All decisions are final. Scholarship awards will be announced by mid-July.

The AP parent must be employed full-time at AP during the year when their child receives the award. If the AP employee’s employment is terminated during the year when their child receives an award, AP may exercise its discretion to pay out the award on a pro-rata basis to the date of the employee’s termination.

How to Apply

  • Complete the Academic Scholarship Application.
  • Submit confirmation the student has been accepted into an accredited Canadian University or Ontario/Québec College (for first year students).
  • Students who are seeking to enroll into a program in an accredited Canadian University or Ontario/Quebec College can also apply. In this case students have to submit Program and University details.
  • Submit an official transcript. The transcript must include grades for the last four semesters. (For example, Sept 2021 – June 2022 and September 2022 to current). Students will be asked to confirm final grades for their final semester before the scholarship is paid out.
  • Submit a copy of the student’s birth certificate or other form of government issued ID that confirms the date of birth.
  • Submit a resume including extracurricular or volunteer activities.
  • Submit an academic or personal reference letter (neighbor, employer, coach etc.) with your application. The personal reference must be made by someone who is familiar with your academic or extracurricular activities.
  • Submit the response to the application question.
