Scarborough, Ontario – September 29, 2025 – Atlantic Packaging Products marks 28 years of supporting Breakthrough T1D (formerly JDRF) and its mission to improve the lives of people living with type 1 diabetes (T1D).

This year, Atlantic continued its tradition of giving back with a cheque presentation to Breakthrough T1D at the Ontario headquarters, reinforcing our long-standing commitment to the cause. Since first joining the Walk in 1997, Atlantic has contributed each year to fund research, advance treatments, and provide support to the type 1 diabetes (T1D) community.

What is Type 1 Diabetes (T1D)?
T1D is an autoimmune disease with no cure and no prevention, where people with T1D must make over 180 health decisions every single day. Breakthrough T1D is the leading global funder of type 1 diabetes research, supporting the more than 300,000 Canadians who live with T1D today.

The 2025 T1D Toronto Walk took place on June 8 at E.T. Seton Park, where 7 Atlantic teams and 79 employee participants came together with family and friends for a day of community, connection, and hope.

A heartfelt thank-you goes out to the dedicated Atlantic team captains for leading their groups and inspiring participation:
